Lost Lands 8: Sand Captivity Walkthrough

Lost Lands 8 is about Puzzles, Hidden Objects, and Single-player Detective gameplay, released by Five-BN Games for Mobile Devices. The plot focuses on an artifact found on Earth that Interferes with Susan’s life, forcing her to embark on other epic adventures. There are dozens of beautiful locations to explore and various mini-games to play. When examining the land, you will encounter a captivating cast of characters who might help you complete complicated quests. Besides, the story focuses on a female character “Susan” who decides to embark on an epic journey to restore the land after bringing peace back to the Lost Lands. Now, Susan had become a mother as well as a grandmother.

Moreover, the player assumes the role of the female character, who needs to find a way to unfold the story and reveal the mysterious curse with the help of the Lost Lands Inhabitants. Before playing the game, you must improve your detective and puzzle-solving skills because the game doesn’t introduce any system to help you learn what to find next; therefore, your skills are only your weapon. Apart from that, the game features a hint system to help you reveal the complex item during the gameplay; however, it may cost you in-game currency.

The game spans several tasks, each offering you a different objective. At the start, the game displays a pop-up on your screen: Main Game and Bonus Chapter. You can’t play the Bonus Chapter until you complete the Main Game.

In Lost Lands 8, your ultimate goal is to find a cure faster with the help of Maaron. Finding items won’t be easy as you must examine locations and objects to discover things. Task 1 – Find Maaron

Your first objective is “Find Maaron,” You must tap the door first to start your investigation. When starting the game, you can accept the tutorial to see how it works or reject it, relying on your detective and puzzle-solving skills.

First, pick up Gardening Scissors from the left side and keep them on your list.

Second, examine the pot in the branches near the house and use the Gardening Scissors to remove the branches.
Third, interact with some items and click on the pot to lift it to discover a key.

Select the key from the panel and use it to unlock the door. Next, you can press the door to move between locations.

Enter the House

You are in a House that Maaron hasn’t visited for a long time.

Task 2 – Find a Rune for the Dolmen

Tap the painting above the fireplace to discover a Gear and read a note nearby.

Examine the chair near the window, lift the seat to get an Owl, and keep it on your list.

Head to the table, collect a Knife from the spot and keep it on your list.

Now, tap the window on the right side to discover coals and get them aside to find a Kyoll. Before leaving the spot, don’t forget to collect Colored Glass.

Hit the back button and tap the fish painting on the right side. Use Colored Glass to discover the following things: Snakeskin, Poppy Seed, and Pearl.

Examine the fireplace, use the poker to search for the Coin, and pick it up from the spot.

Here you should remember that the item with the “+” symbol is interactable with another one in the panel; however, you can click on the item to open a zoomed view.

Tap the Coin to open the zoom view and click on the wire to remove it. After that, tap the rug on the floor and discover a trapdoor.

Use the wire to bring a Detail from the floor crack near the trapdoor.

Leave the House

Hit the back button to leave the house and search for other hidden items outside.

Now, you are out of the house, and your goal is to examine the Tree Stump and discover 2 Puppy Seeds from two spots, as shown in the image.

Help the Halfling

First, head to the stick near the house and collect some steps.

Following the pathway, click the bucket on the left side and collect the rope from nearby.

Tap the sack on the floor to collect grain and keep it in your inventory.

Afterward, interact with the door and tap its lock to open it. Go through the door and offer the grain to bring the Chickens.

Enter the house again to discover a note from the nest. Before leaving the house, don’t forget to pick up a Wheel from the upper shelf.

During the gameplay, you can interact with a map that lets you move between locations, including Plains, Academy of Magicians, Fugo Islands, Darkwoods, Centaur Village, and Keremeos.

Leave the house and come out to repair the wheel. First, select the wheel from your panel and attach it to the cart.

Select the hook from near the cart and put it into the wheel. Pick up a stone from the ground and fix the wheel.

After that, tap the back button to return to the last location and tap the ladder near the house.

Select steps from your list and place them on the ladder using the rope.
Climb the ladder to enter the house and start finding hidden objects, including Hare, Compass, Apple, and more.

Once you find all hidden objects, the game adds a Needle with thread to your list.

Tap the pathway to reach the second location and click on the sack. Once you open the zoom view, sew the bag with the Needle with Thread.

Put the sack on the cart to complete the task – Help the Halfling.

New Task 4 – Find a Rune for the Dolmen

Tap the hut on the right to obtain a stick and use it to lift stones on the left side to get a bottle.

Break the bottle to get two Kyolls, Botte Shard and Snakeskin, to be added to your inventory.

Open the zoom view on the tree, start collecting two Kyoll using a knife, as well as a pearl, and don’t forget to get a Get into the hut on the right side, examine the nest, and pick up the eggshells.

Hit the back button to return to the main garden and enter the house.
Enter the house, tap the fish painting on the left, and put Colored Glass and Bottle shards on the shelf.

New Task 5 – Get to the Academy of Magicians

There’s a small hut on the right side where you must get into and search for hidden objects. The first thing you will obtain will be the third manuscript.

Examine the table to obtain a Tile and keep it on your list. Hit the back button to close the zoom view and interact with the ladder.

Keep moving the ladder until you get your hand on the second tile.

Go close to the door on the left side, place all three tiles, and put the skull amidst the door to open it.

Afterward, go through the door to enter the ancient building and start your search for finding items and clues to solve tricky puzzles.

Enter the Ancient Building

You are now in an old place where you must go through a maze when searching for hidden objects to solve mysteries.

First, you must go left and right to pick up a Spear.

Leave the room and go left to get a Mask using the Spear you recently obtained.

Return to the starting location in the ancient building, go to the right-side pathway, and use the Mask to open the door.

Go through the door to discover two other pathways. You should follow the left-side path to reach a room and pull the lamp to find a secret room.

Examine the room to get a Sword and leave both areas to go to the right side, where you have to put the sword in the statue’s hand to open the door.

Going through the pathway may lead you to another area where three doors are fully covered with cobwebs exist.

Please enter the first room from the left side to get a crystal and go to the third room to put it on the holder to light the room.

Follow the pathway to discover two options and go through the left side to get a Lever Arm.

Leave this room and go to the right-side option, select the Lever Arm, and put it on the machine to bring the stairs up. Follow the path to get out of the ancient building.

After getting outside, discover the first plank out of 10 nearby trees and keep it on your list. The second plank is hidden under the bushes.

Tap the net to open the zoom view to get the gem and third plank.

Tap the Stone holding a rope connecting with a boat to get the fourth plank. Furthermore, the fifth and the sixth planks are hidden nearby the monkey’s statue.

To discover the seventh plank, you must climb rocks and see under a structure; meanwhile, you can obtain the eighth plank nearby the dangerous signboard.
You must obtain the last ninth and tenth planks in the board to complete a set of 10 planks.
Click the back button to reach the first location of this task and tap the ladder to open the zoom view.

Now, you aim to use collected planks to repair the ladder by solving a puzzle.

Once you solve the puzzle, the game takes you to the top step, where you can open the toolbox to obtain Hacksaw.

Enter the small hut on the right side, use the Hacksaw to cut the treasure chest’s lock, and collect a Rune.

Open the map from your disposal and select the location ‘Plains.”

After reaching there, tap the structure at the end of the pathway to open the zoom view and put the Rune on the Stone to open the portal.

Lost Lands 8 is full of thrilling scenes and fabulous locations to explore. Although the game features similar gameplay to Lost Lands 7, the story and places are entirely different, while the mechanics are the same. When finding solutions to tricky puzzles, you can enjoy a well-written storyline and find rare items to unlock achievements. Besides, the game doesn’t introduce chapters, as you have to play the game keeping tasks in mind.
